The sequal to Tron and Kosinski’s first feature film, Tron is set around a program designed by Kevin Flynn, director of ENCOM international. Years after Flynn disappears, his son Sam is beaconed to the old arcade where he spent a large part of his childhood. What ensues is an adventure into the program and a marvelous journey.
Considering this is Kosinski’s first film, he has done an absolutely superb job. Visually stunning, the 3D is (unlike many other ’3d’ films) some of the latest technology and looks brilliant. You will be glued to your seat with excitement as an intensely colourful journey takes hold of you and does NOT let go until the final credits.
This film does not require prior viewing of the original – it is all adequately explain. If you are pessimistic about seeing this film because you think the plot will lose you, dont be. The visuals in this film are on a whole nother level.
Daft Punk, a world renown music group did the soundtrack for Tron Legacy – and my god is it brilliant. Check out ‘derezzed’ and ‘end of the line’ – not to mention the main tron theme. Electro sounding and intense – combined with the visually spectacular 3d and graphics – who could ask for me?
This movie is not recommended for the ‘older’ generations. It may blow over you – rather, the teen market is the main demographic that will be instantly in love with this film.
